Job Title: Cybersecurity Engineer
Job Summary:
We're seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team! As a Cybersecurity Engineer with NetGator, you will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive security solutions for our clients. You will work closely with our project managers and customers to identify and mitigate potential security threats, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our clients' sensitive data.
Responsibilities:
Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security risks
Develop and implement security solutions to mitigate identified threats, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption technologies
Collaborate with project managers to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards (e.g. HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
Design and implement incident response plans to ensure timely and effective response to security incidents
Provide expert-level support to clients in responding to security incidents and troubleshooting issues
Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and trends in the cybersecurity landscape
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field
5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or a related field
CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (or equivalent)
Strong understanding of security protocols and technologies (e.g. firewalls, VPNs, encryption)
Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field
10+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or a related field
CompTIA CASP or CISM certification (or equivalent)
Experience with cloud-based security solutions (e.g. AWS CloudWatch, Azure Security Center)
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. Python, PowerShell)
